Put in what ever suits ya but make sure that your in (N) when going back together . Now one thing that ya need to know is does this one have the spring loaded parklock or is it just the over center one . If it is the spring loaded one then you must block the park pawl in the UNLOCK posision , myself i use a 1/2 Nut to block it up . If it is and over center one then just hold it in the unlock. As you come up the rev shifter rod will come out of the rev shift fork catch the woodwrof key and shifting fork . Now is when ya look EVERYTHING OVER real good and fix replace what ever is loose broken or wore out . Pay close attenshion to the cover as to how sloppy the hole for the shifter is there should be NO slop , now you can buy a new rebuilt cover or have a good machine shop bore out the hole and pres in a bushing BUT THE ORG. center MUST BE MAINTAINED. Look over the shifter cam for excess ware and the detent plate for ware.
