Tom, what it is was a product of an outdated refining process. As each grade of fuel was drawn off the distiling tower there was a certain amount that was kinda inbetween grades, this was drawn off and dumped in a barrel mixed with all the other castoff inbetween fuels and made up "distilate" So that's what it is and was and all there'll ever be cuz they have changed the refining process and don't have it no more.
