Well I have 2 welders, that un its self was about $2500-3000. Then a torch set that is about $1000 by the time you get the tanks. The things like pipe benders, shop press chop saw and a few other things and that gets it up to around $5000. And thens theres the hand tools. I have wrenches from les then 1/4 inch up to 3 inches and in most of those I have 3 or 4 of each. It doesn't take long to add up and I have had a couple sets taken by way of 5 finger discount which hurt real bad. Twice now I have had to start from zero and get tools becuase some one wahted them and just took them. Of course I'm not saying you will need all the tools I have but you can figure on a few hundred to get you going and then maybe more depending on how big you go etc
