Just did this a couple of months ago. The cover is heavy, but not too heavy to lift off, at least for a good sized guy. The challenge is lowering it back on without crushing the screen or ruining the gasket. My advice; lift if off yourself if you want, but get a hand putting it back on. I left the remotes on mine when I took it off. It was just a little heavier, but not bad. Saved the work of taking them off and putting them back on. Figure on spending about $80 at the dealer for the screen filter. Joe
