Mike – While the Stage I super series H and M tractors indeed lack live hydraulics, they do have most of the other “super” enhancements. Ie. larger displacement engines (15 – 20% more horsepower), faster geared transmissions, disk brakes, etc. So they are desired by antique pullers, etc. Also Supers they were only built for a couple years (vs 13+ years for the non-supers) which I guess makes them more desirable in some collector’s eyes. OTOH there’s no shortage of regular old H’s and M’s transformed by their owners to “supers” simply by slapping new decals on them (I know of several right here in my town….) Bottom line is the bidding activity on Ebay is a classic example of the Other Idiot Principle at work: Any item is worth exactly what some other idiot is willing to pay. Like CNKS observes it doesn't have to make sense!
