I put a power stering unit on my dads 51 "M" 30 years ago, kit from somewhere. Pump is an automotive type that is mounted on a bracket installed on the governer housing. Belt runs off a cast pulley that mounts on the pim on the end of the crank. Power stering unit mounts on a new bracket behind the oil and water temp. gages. Everything is under the hood. Uses power stering fluid. Works great. Will look next time I am at the farm as to what make the unit is. (oh my ended my sentence with the prepisition "is") Wifes a retired English teacher
