Found a 230 a few months back that had part of the Fast Hitch pilot guide system still intact. I`ve always wanted a 230 with a working pilot guide , and the rest of the tractor was pretty decent, so I bought it.The indicator panel thats on the left side of the battery box was there but somewhat bent up.Got that straightened out nicely and got the draft control cable freed up, but the other cable that indicates drawbar height was junk. Started calling anybody and everybody I could think of trying to find a replacement with no luck.Everyone I called says "good luck on finding THAT" !! On a lark, I called a former IH dealership that still fixes tractors, but isn`t a IH parts vendor anymore.I give them the part #, they say "hold on" and 20 or so seconds later the fella comes on the phone and says" I`ve got the cable in my hand".What a stroke of luck !!I was ecstatic ,and to top it off, their last price revision on it was from 1981 and they sold it to me at that price ! Got the cable home and installed it and the pilot guide works flawlessly!!! Now all the tractor needs is a good paint job and she`ll be ready for the Red Power Roundup in Madison this July.I can put the 230 with our fast hitch implement display that we`re bringing down.

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
