While I can't say how you're using it, I can say that the effects of any penetrating oil are rarely, if ever, instant. Penetrants need time to work; you can't spray the bolt then slap a wrench on it. My personal experience with PB is on a very rusty H with many stuck bolts. Because it's out at my folks' place and I only make it out there about once a month, the penetrant has time to soak in and do some good. When I get a stuck bolt, I spray it with PB a few times, and come back a few weeks later. 99 times out of 100, the bolt is free. The only instant penetrant is a good old flame wrench: An oxy-acetylene torch, and even those don't always work.

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
