Ron, the only problem I can see with using the belly pump, is I don't think it is classified as live hydraulics. So that means when ever you engage the clutch it stops belly pump from running, and no power steering during that period. You can use your PTO pump to run your power steering also. that is the way I am running my power steering and FEL as my live hydraulic pump lost the seals and I haven't had time to replace them. Way I hooked mine up, is I plumbed the Flow Control valve before FEL spool valve. I then used the "CF"(control flow) outlet on valve, to my power steering unit. I hooked up line to FEL spool valve to the "EX"(excess flow) output on the Flow Control valve. After I got everything hooked up, I started tractor and adjusted FCV so power steering worked well, all the rest of the hydraulic fluid runs the FEL. I haven't noticed any restrictions on operation of my loader. On my tractor I had no choice to use pto pump untill I had time to fix tractors hydraulics, with no hydraulics I could not steer tractor AT ALL, Hydro-static steering!!...HTH I know, Clear as mud!!!...LOL Keith & Shawn

Experimentation, from the most complex assembly to the most simple and mundane component, is as an integral a part of any farm tractor's development
