I have a 2001 loader on a Farmall 340. I think the main difference between a 2000 and a 2001 is that the 2000 had cylinders on each side of the arms to tip the bucket. The 2001 has either a trip bucket or one cylinder in the middle to tip the bucket. As someone else mentioned, 2000 and 2001 designed for 240, 340, and 460 etc. (I can give you the exact list from the manual if you want since I have the operator"s manual for both. I currently have a problem with priming the hydraulics on my Farmall 340, and I think others have had a similar problem. The loader is heavy duty enough and the 340 seems to handle it okay, but lots depends on how one uses it. It is easy to abuse a tractor with a loader on it. Probably, of course, get faster hydraulics with more modern tractor; always trade-offs with costs, etc.
