I know absolutely nothing about a MD but distribitors were available from IH. There are a lot of magneto fans on this forum I am not one of them though based on thousand of hours of experience with both mag and distributor I have found distribtor to be more dependable and easier and cheaper to maintain. For some reason almost all tractors went to battery ignition 50 or so years ago maybe because they were cheaper.
