Pat: I have done these conversions on my SA, 130 and 140. Probably the reason you haven't found the regulator, is the current setup is a GM Delco with a built in regulator. Do you have an original IH operator's manual for this tractor. They have an excellent diagram of the original wiring. Probably about 99% of all offset Farmall alternator conversions have been done with GM Delcos, and the reason being it is very easy and simple, and the built in regulator has proved to be a lot less troublesome. There are guys around with close to 20 years on the same alternator. If you go to Bob M's diagrams, in the articles section on the left of this page. He has excellent diagrams for wiring up a 12volt alternator to a Farmall. It will probably say Farmall H and or M, but the same diagram will work on the smaller Farmalls. There will also be separate diagrams for mag. or distributor ign. which ever you have.
