Silver solder has far more strength than regular Lead/Tin solder. Brazing is also a high strength solution. If the leac is a crack, the repair needs to be a patch covering the crack on both sides at least 3/16" (4mm), and most if not all the way around the tube, to prevent rebreaking the crack. A brazeweld, with buildup of material over the crack might work, but is uglier, and usually less durable. Good luck with it, JimN
