Bill: All plow bottoms have a landside along the left side of bottom. Usually the front bottom or bottoms, the landside is about 1/2" thick and 6" wide or high and comes back to rear of plow beam. The rear bottom will have the same landside if a tail wheel is going to be used. The long landside is just a longer piece of 1/2" x 6" steel, usually somewhere between 24" and 30" long. Most of them protrude back a bit further than the moldboard. Of course the longer they are the better they hold plow from pushing to the left. Most long landsides will have a shoe about 2" x 6" at the tail end. in some conditions it helps control plow depth.
