Got two generator questions for two different tractors with 2 different problems!! 1. Farmall C. Bought tractor converted to 12V. I switched back to original, Generator has new brushes, and tested ok. NEW regulator out of box. Installed everything correctly, from my knowledge. WONT CHARGE. When I remove the wire at the bat terminal on Regulator and use my multimeter from Bat terminal on Reg to battery ground I get 7.25 Volts. (Charging Voltage) as soon as I hook the wire back up, the charging stops!! I tryed repolaring no change. Second Charging Problem 2. Farmall H. Volt regulator installed new 2 year ago. New brushes in Gen yesterday, was never charging for the 5 years I owned it. Tractor will charge if touch Fields on regulator to Bat terminal on regulator. will charge for 20 seconds or so then stop, and have to re jump. sometimes it will charge for longer, but always stops after a bit. Sorry for making you read so much!! Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks Again
