Make sure that the T/A and clutch adjustments are correct like i have layed out before as the double shift is usual caused by the dump valve being out of adjustment . For get the book on other then clutch free travel the rest is simple but does require two people one to set in the seat and do the pedal pushen and the other to get his hands dirty . Set the free travel on the clutch first then go to the trans brake and pull the hair pin out then the clevis pin after ya broke the lock nut loose put the clutch to the floor with the engine OFF and hold the trans brake lever all the way back adjust the clevis out till the pin will slid in freeley then let the clutch pedal up and adjust the clevis out one to one and a half turns more install the pin and hair pin and lock down the lock nut . Next start the engine and at and ideal and with the transmission in N park loc ingaged loosen the T/A dump valve adjust bolt and back off about 6 or 7 turns .next push the clutch pedal down to the stop lug and hold there now turn the dump valve bolt in till the T/A lube pressure lite just comes on if the lite does not work fix that first Stop as soon as the teltale lite comes on shut down the engine let the clutch pedal up and give the dump valve bolt one more complet turn in and lock the lock nut down . all done no fancy massuren that is never done wright in the first place this way works vary well. I am out of here going to chop corn.
