It"s all about what you grew up on. Grandpa had lots of Fords on the farm, but I always liked the view from the top of a letter series Farmall (it was different from what I was use to seeing on the N series Fords). Harvested lots of tobacco with Farmalls running loads to the shed all day long. The look of the tractors and the droan of those overhead valve four cylinders pluggin" away just kind of paints a picture of what a tractor "should be". I like all tractors...even the green ones...but as an Old Timer I know says: "Green is for pastures and boogers. Red is for tractors and firetrucks."

It was powered by either a high-compression gas engine or a distillate version with lower compression. Options included the Lift-All hydraulic system, a belt pulley, PTO, rubber tires, starter, lights and a swinging drawbar. It could be ordered in the high-crop, wide-front or tricycle configurations.
