I recently purchased a SC that had the timing gears damaged because the previous owner ran the tractor without hydraulic fluid in the tractor. In my situation, the timing and govenor gear teeth found their way into the motor crankcase. I then pulled the engine and did an out of the frame overhaul. Had the engine beadblasted because I wanted to make sure I got all of the timing gear teeth out of the engine. Luckly the block and head was OK. You'll love her when its up and running again. Marv
