When the one row cotton picker first came out, IH offered a high drum for a H but it proved underpowered and to light so all later one row high drums were for the M framed (M, SM, 400, 450, & 560 tractors) only. After the two row pickers came out in 57 we basicly sold only new two row high drums. I have never seen a 460 equipped for a high drum (flanged housings) but IH may have offered it in their catalog.The 460 would have plenty of power fo a high drum which was not the case with the H. Does your tractor have a reversable top for a low drum? I think the G was used on both high and low drum tractors but not really sure of this as we never ordered new cotton picker tractors after 57.
