In my opinion, they are going to be about the same on fuel, with the 1086 using slightly more. The 986 has 436 Naturally aspirated motor, and the 1086 has a 414 turbocharged motor. Also If interested, I have a 1486 for sale, Factory no TA, 4 post canopy, newer paint, tight motor. Drop me an email if interested, and I will have pictures and more info! Erik in WI
