Unless the use of 1" pins would weaken the attachment (be to close to an edge), the best may be to drill the holes to one inch. Be sure to use the same diameter cylinder as the original. This will maintain the correct action speed, and the correct force on the components. Cylinders with 5/8" pins are not powerful commercial grade products. As pointed out this is not a stock lift all component at all. Be careful to assure safe operation, have hydraulic capable people look it over to assure its safety. I am not blasting your hitch, it is just a safety issue. JimN
