Yes! The belt pully has to be "removed" But if you take the four small bolts off each corner and the 2 long oness in the centre you can slide it to the side enough. Its a heavy sucker so taking it off completely makes the job more difficult than it needs to be.
You should be able to do the whole job in about 20 minutes and be running again.
