Stainless steel on stainless steel is a totally different animal and galls worse than even aluminum, in my experience. If you don't use stainless-rated dope you risk damaging it from chloride cracking, etc. Disassembly is why I use Teflon paste, however tractors operate at low temperatures (except for the exhaust system) when it comes to pipe joints. If you want to get carbon steel screwed joints apart after they have been at 400 degrees for two years they best have been doped.
