I think that on a daily use tractor, they are not as useful, unless you want to do some service to the electrical system without taking off the battery cables. It is not necessary to turn them off if you dont want to, just because it is there. I think they are more useful on tractors that are not used much, as they prevent the battery from going dead from small switch leaks or bad insulation, or such as that, if you shut them off when you leave the tractor. I am too cheap to buy them, so just pull the battery cable off.
