DJP: Ah ha, you sent me scrambling for the 150 Years of IH on that one, and yes I found it. Here is what Mr. Wendel has to say, "During the 1950s and 1960s, IH developed several new mower designs including a new trailer model shown here." (photo) He goes on with a bit on the trailer model. Then he states about the new mowers, "Full hydraulic control of the cutter bar eliminated the need for hand levers. Several models of the period include the No. 28, 100, 105, 115, 120, 200 and 230 styles." I know the 28 was available either as 2 point fast hitch or 3 point hitch, and it was pitman drive. The rest must have all been balanced head mowers. I think he's left one out as I remember a 110. One of them was a side mount mower for Farmalls in the H, 300, 350, 504, etc. size of tractor. Just found a buyers guide for 1968 and the 110 was indeed the side mount. I had one of those. I guess that is why I remembered the number. The 120 was a semi-mount, could be used with H-M type drawbar, fast hitch or 3 point hitch and had pto shaft and hitch out back for a hay conditioner. It just outlines there were 3 point, 2 point and trailing among the rest. Now, the 200 and 230 are not mentioned in the 68 buyers guide. The next buyers guide I have is 83 and by then mowers have 4 digets in model numbers. I'll bet 200 and 230 were early 70 vintage mowers. It will be babanced head, right or wrong? My buyers guide is a bit faded, but I'd call the cutter bar color on those mowers black. That may well be correct fot those years. I think my 110 was blue, but it was from the first year of balanced head mowers. My mower came with a farm I bought, he had it on his 67 - 504 but also had a kit for a 300U he traded off on the 504. I'm thinking he told me that mower was 64.

Tractor Profile: Allis-Chalmers WD45 (Gas Version) - by Staff. Beginning production in 1953, the WD45 had the same general look as the WD tractor which was produced earlier - but was much more powerful. This was due to the new 4-cylinder "Power Crater" gasoline engine with a 4 x 4-1/2 inch bore and stroke. Some people feel this was one of the most significant tractors offered by Allis-Chalmers in those days. Nothing in its weight or power class could match its performance. In 1954 they began offering the WD45 with the new "Snap-Coupler&quo
