Don, If the photo doesn't appear click on the link below. Then double click on photo to enlarge. The screw on the side of the injection pump in the photo that has the black arrow pointing to it controls the amount of fuel to the injectors hence HP. The screw should have a wire through it connected to the other flat head screw on the side of the pump and the wire should have a seal on it. If this wire is missing means someone has tampered with the pump. To increase HP loosen jamb nut and turn screw out a turn or two, tighten jamb nut and lengthen STOP/RUN control cable so that STOP/RUN control lever on the side of the pump limits against adjusting screw. Please note sometimes the STOP/RUN lever slot in the dash board has to be lengthened with a file or hacksaw blade so STOP/RUN control lever will limit on adjusting screw and still shut off fuel so engine will stop. To reduce HP loosen jamb nut and screw adjusting screw in a couple turns, tighten jamb nut and adjust STOP/RUN control cable. I don't assume any responsibility for damage caused by anyone that uses the above procedure but above is an explanation of the method to adjust. JB2
