I have a 55W. It originally had a B-U2 as my angle drive plate stated. But somewhere along the way the block was updated from a C-113 (U-2) to a C-135. I had to really research when I rebuilt this engine because the i.d. plate ended up not representing what the block actually was since it is on the right angle drive and not the block itself. C-113's were used in the A's, B's, and C's. Everything but the supers. Production of these were from late 1939 to 1949. Problem with moving baler engines to tractors is the location of the starter(cranking motor) is different. Power unit engines and baler engines are one in the same however. There is a location for a temp gauge on the top of the head on the manifold side towards the front between the first and second head bolts. I bought a reproduction temp gauge and the sensor screwed in perfectly. I made a bracket for the gauge and screwed it in where my generator used to be.
