You made me remember one from my days in Nova Scotia. Canadian National Railways train hit a cow. Of course being the government owned railway, a major investigation insued.

A CNR inspector was interviewing the farmer owner of the cow. He said, " Tell me sir was the cow on the railroad when the train hit her?"

"Nope", said the farmer, " The train chased her clear across the pasture, and she couldn't out run it."
