I got the belt all adjusted up on the water pump. on the top generator bracket there are two holes where you would bolt it to the head and that looks like the only adjusment I have. I had the starter and generator rebuilt and got the tractor to start and run on carb cleaner (typical Farmall, they always run) but the butterfly that operates the throttle was hung wide open. Upon further inpection you could see that the carb was pretty rusty. In the 30 seconds that it ran it didn't smoke and it had plenty of oil pressure. Thank you for the info.
