Not a diaphram, gear drive pump. Before you do that(rebuild), check the screen in the bottom outside (toward you) little L shaped fitting at the rear of the pump. Also bleed the system by the book, and check the filter in the water trap. Just for the heck of it make sure that the fuel valve is open. I"ve got 4 of these gas start diesels and they can fool you some times. Good luck.
