I agree. If it was running and you havn't had the mag off it is still in time. Yes, wipe the cap out dry. The wire that hooks to the side of the mag grounds to the switch for stopping the tractor. You might tyr unhooking the wire. The points are kina hidden inside and you can get the mag out of time if you take the cover off. No biggy though and if you ask the right questions we can walk you through it. You can't mess up anything the rest of us havn't fixed before.
