Please dont spray wd40 inside there. A little wire dryer maybe but best to wipe off and install a new gasket. Any oil or spray in the housing can loosen up crap old grease and all kinds of junk and will get on the internal rotor magnet and stuff. So No. Test like bob said or send the unit to mag man.
