Put the shifter in neutral and if the tractor still moves the shifter has jumped out of the rail and you are getting it in two gears. Not hard to fix, just pull out the lever and use a big screwdriver to line up the rails. Then weld and grind the worn end of the shifter. Should look like this when you are done.
