Gentleman,
The black smoke coming out of the exhaust and messing up my spark plugs was as you say a bad float setting. Your recomendation between a Carter and Zenith, I took off the Carter and replaced it with a Zenith. Works great! Working between the governor and throddle adjustment, I had to change my governor and lever inside. Still working on the fine adjustments, can't seem to get the right settings, need a smoother interaction between carb, governor, and thoddle linkage. Any tips would be much appreciated Thank you.
