I had the same problem after I replaced the points on my "A". Figured I goofed on two things. 1. Put to much grease on the shaft which splashed onto the points. 2. I pushed the little block that the point spring connects to all the way home instead of letting the outer cap push it in while tightening it. The block needs to be clean and make good contact with the out cap which is held on by three screws. Worked for me??
