Grant, I dont have much in the way of diagrams or specs or data whatsoever, but can tell ya basically theres a Normally Open Cutout Relay between the BAT and GEN terminals which dont close until the gennys voltage is higher then the battery voltage on the BAT terminal and the Field terminal has like a (normally when setting and the genny isnt running) zero ohms resistance to the VR"s metal case for High Charge but shows some resistance to case ground for low charge (a relay changes from close to open etc) once the battery is charged up some after starting. There sahould be like an open circuit (infinity ohms) on the BAT terminal to frame/case,,,,,,,near zero ohms from the FLD terminal to frame/case, and maybe 10 to 30 ohms between GEN and case which is the shunt windign portion of the cutout relay. BAT on VR to load side of ammeter FLD on VR to FLD on Genny GEN/ARM on VR to ARM post on Genny (L)OAD on VR if a 4 pole VR to feed hot battery voltage to loads like lights n ignition Clear as mud??????? Talk of the Town: How to Remove a Broken Bolt - by Staff. Another neat discussion from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. The discussion started out with the following post: "I have an aluminum steering gear housing with a bolt broken off in it. The bolt is about a 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolt. I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
