856 clutch adjustment

My brother may sell his equipment next year. Which is why he may not want to buy a manual. The clutch pedal has about 1-1/2 inches of free travel. Is the 856 a simple system to adjust, simular to my 400? If so, what do I set the pedal free play to, and how do you set the long bolt that attachs down below the deck.(tranmission brake?)
The Tractor Vet discribed how to adjust a clutch on a system that had a dash light,and MCV, and needed a pressure gage. If an 856 is like that I won't touch it. Thank you
