Just some info here. Back in late June, 2006, I posted here about a 4 terminal regulator I was installing on an "H" for a friend. Had no charge after getting the new regulator installed except when we grounded the field. Since this tractor is mostly used for snow removal, we didn't follow up with a repair until just recently. Turns out the new regulator was definitely bad out of the box. I believe someone had suggested "bad new regulator" when I originally posted. Just thought I'd verify that in case someone else has that problem. Thanks to those who helped. Oh, the "new" reg came from a parts supplier in the Des Moines area.
