I have both a C and an H (and a 300, an M, a SM, a 450, and a 560 too, for that matter). There is lots of good advice mentioned already, but I'll add mine. Whenever I need to do a utility job around the farm, the H gets the nod. It's got good power and maneuverability, and it starts easy and uses very little fuel. The drawbar on the C isn't quite as heavy. And even though the horsepower rating may be close, that extra 3-4 HP and 1000 lbs. make a world of difference in lugging and pulling capacity. The H is much more tractor. That said, I don't use either tractor on a bush hog because neither have live pto. Live pto is not only safer, but it's also much more convenient. If you really want a "red" tractor, you may want to consider a 300, or a 300 utility, or a 460 utility, or a 504 or 544. All good choices for mowing tractors because of LPTO, and they will all pull a plow or disk harrow as well. Of course you can have fun with any of them. Good luck! Dale
