I know I'm probably not the first guy to do this, but I'm so tickled with myself I just had to show off. The threads for the lug bolts on the front hubs on my old 1466 were about shot. I had two or three that you couldn't really even tighten anymore. About a year ago I replaced the front wheel-bearing assemblies on my 94 Dodge diesel pickup. The new bearing assemblies came with new studs. Being a "practical" farmer,,,I never throw anything away (just aske the MRS). I took a die grinder and ground out what was left of the threads and drove the studs in. I did have to put a 5/8 lock washer on the back-side of the stud because they were a little long. I bought some new large 15/16 wrench-size lug nuts and once again, I'm farm'in in style with my 40 year old equipment ;) Paul
