About this lineage thing; with all due respect, I don't think ya have it quite right. The 686/666/656 tractors are basically nothing more than an updated version of the 560, which in turn was an updated version of the 400/450 and going back to the SMs and the M. The 300 is and updated SH, originally from the H and it later led to the 350s then the 460. Whole lot smaller tractor. A bit later and while all this was going on, the added 706 style line led right up the pack thru the 756/856/1256 and the 766/966/1066/1466 tractors. They are all grouped into their own distinct family designated by size. Allan
