Since I don't really know, I'm going to make a guess. I tried 3 rebuilt carbs on a newly rebuilt H engine and had the same problem. Too rich, black smoke, etc. The only thing I could find was the difference in the main air bleed jet (or whatever it's called) All three had different size holes. The one with the smallest hole runs the best. That part is NLA from CIH, so I'm going to try and have some made. ken
