715 hydrostat

My dad's 715 hydrostat is giving him problems . He is only able to combine in first gear ( lacks power) he is afraid the pump is going out. The other hydralic functions seem ok ( he thinks steering maybe a little stiff). I am leaning toward filter.

Another thing is a valve located under the operators platform ( wish I had a better description) has cracked a fitting. This is thesecond time this has happened . Any idea why??
