In my opinion X1 was used mainly, I think only, on the H and M. I really shouldn't comment on the B, except that my dad had both prewar and postwar B's and I don't remember a starting tank on either, but my memory of the prewar is nearly non-existent. I only remember my dad using gas, I could be wrong. While most of the wartime H's and M's were kerosene or distillate, I believe most A's and B's were gas, but I cannot prove either of those statements. It is very likely that your Super C is gas, as few kero/distillate versions were being produced then, but they do exist. Only my opinion. (This should bring a lot of responses from the kero/dist A and B people)
