Check the sleeve protrusion above the block. Put your straightedge across the top of the sleeves and use a feeler gauge. It must be .003" - .005". Any more than .005 and you are in the leak zone. All the copper spray in the world won't fix it. The right side is always the first to leak because of the location of the head studs. The studs on the left are close to the edge of the head and can pull it tighter whereas the studs on the right are set in alot farther and have more gasket to compress. I wasted two gaskets figuring this out on my SC. My new sleeves stuck up almost .009" and I figured that the deck of the block had been milled for a previous rebuild which in effect made the sleeve counterbores too shallow. I had to remove the sleeves and face the tops off to achieve the right protrusion and she sealed right up. Let me know how you make out.
