Since your loader worked OK on another 350U, it probably should on this one, too. We will assume it has double-acting hydraulic cylinders at this point, until you tell us differently. Given this, the most likely cause of the fill/dump problem that you are describing is having the control valve set for a single-acting cylinder. At the front of the control valve there is what the Operators Manual describes as a pin (turned with a 9/16" wrench) that has to be set to "D" for proper operation of your loader. Having the engine bog down the hydraulic system when its valves are centered is usually caused by a clogged orifice in the pressure control/safety valve block (the rear, inboard valve block, with no handle, assuming your 350U's hydraulics are as they came from IH). The cure is to remove the block and clean the orifice. The most common root cause of this is a dirty hydraulic system; you might be money ahead to pull the reservoir and clean the screen (underneath the cover), etc., while you're at it. If you do this, be sure to lift the cover straight up, and have a place to set it figured out; the screen is easily damaged and expensive. Best to get someone strong to help with this job if you can. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.
