thanks for all the replys, to sum it up, it realy doesnt matter on the rings as long as the gaps arent right over top of each other or near each other? as for the notch on the flat top pistons that didnt come with instructions, the notch points towards the front? and dish soap on the sleave o ring will help it slide in? i also have my sleaves in the freezer, i read that helps going to try and install tomorow. i have rebuilt 2 350's and 1 454 in my life but this is my first sleaved engine, so if you see that i am about to do something wrong, please respond to this post. thanks to all for all the help.
