Mike A similar thing happened to me. My initial interest in tractors began with memories of my grandfather"s red Farmall. Didn"t remember much more than the steering wheel was offset on the right side. I really had little knowledge of tractors. When I stumbled across a Cub for sale 4 years ago, all I could think was there"s one just like my grandfather"s! I bought it, and affectionately restored it. I was going thru boxes of almost 50 year old 35mm slides this past Spring, many barely discernable due to discoloration of age. After removing years of dark color shift with Photoshop, I ended up with this slide . . . my Uncle teaching me to drive my grandfather"s Farmall in 1962. Priceless, what a find! But, well, turned out it was an "A", not a Cub. Well, I still have the Cub and it still reminds me every day of my grandfather"s Farmall. And I wouldn"t sell that Cub for anything. It"s the memory that matters the most. I"m hooked on old Farmalls, and working on my second tractor now. Is it an A? Nah, I"ve got the Cub. Moved on to a 340U.
