No insult intended, but just to remind you of the basics, is the
battery good? I recently both insulted and dazzled my neighbor
with a similar problem. Even though he had the charger on the
battery, it had an internal problem and was acting like a giant
resistor. We switched batts and made smoke instantly! If you have
another batt around....???
