There are basically three different version of manifolds if we are talking the farm tractor and not the industrial Model 20. First version was used from 1923 in to 1926. This version was a simple rectangular shaped manifold that had somewhat of a muffler that bolts to the manifold with 2 bolts and exits through a hole in the lower right hand section of the side panel. Changed in late 26, early 27 to a V-shaped manifold. A muffler made of thin sheet metal was mounted directly to the elbow of the manifold and was placed between the manifold and the fire wall. Exhaust went through the fire wall to cast iron elbow bolted to the firewall and out the side. Last version used no muffler but only a cast iron ninety. Exhaust exited out the corner of the side sheet via a notch. This manifold was able to switch heat settings via a baffle in the upper center and a valve on the end of the exhaust leg that could route more or less hot gas around the intake pipe. It was used until the end of production in 1940.
